Trekking Torres del Paine: Hiking in Torres Del Paine Chile

After the Navimag Ferry Trip from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales, we went out to the Southern Patagonias for a month of volunteering and trekking in Torres Del Paine National Park. From the brilliant emerald-colored Lake Nordenskjold with its wild tornado winds, to the classic “Las Torres” hike, to playing our handmade, giant chess set in the middle of the park, we did it all! We hope you enjoy this photo blog of our time trekking Torres del Paine.

Navimag Ferry Puerto Montt Puerto Natales

To get from Puerto Montt in Chile’s northern lake district to Torres Del Paine in the Southern Patagonias, we set sail on the Navimag Ferry from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales. On this 3 day journey, we played a giant chess board out in high seas, saw packs of albatross & dolphins racing by our ship & enjoyed drinks accompanied by prehistoric ice. We hope this photo blog gives you a feel for this remarkable Patagonias ferry trip!

A Photo Blog Of 3 Chilean Cities: San Pedro de Atacama, Santiago & Pucon

In Chile we visited three very different regions: San Pedro de Atacama – a desert oasis with Salt Lakes, Geysers & Grazing Llamas; Santiago – a huge city where we found a bit of culture and a lot of nightlife; Pucon – a lush area in the lakes district with waterfalls, hot springs & a huge volcanoe towering above everything. We hope this photo blog gives you a taste of these 3 incredible Chilean cities!

Volunteer Teaching in Trujillo, Peru: Another Photo Blog

We spent the month of September living & volunteering in Trujillo, Peru. Our favorite volunteer site was the USDA (Una Sonrisa de Amor) school in Alta Trujillo, an underpriviledged neighborhood about 40 minutes outside of the city center. There we spent time teaching English to young children ages 4-9. We hope you enjoy this photo blog of our volunteer teaching experience!
